Been a lovely day, very relaxed and quiet (apart from raucous laughter unwrapping stockings!). Got some lovely pressies - am now (one of probably many) the adopted mummy of Pretty Kitty (Zena) at Isle of Wight Zoo *grins*

2) What was your status on Valentine's Day? Single, again, or should that be still?
3) Were you in school (anytime this year)? Oh Gods no!
4) How did you earn your money? By inflicting my bloody awful cooking on the people of the good ship Asda! Apart from Porridge, apparently I can cook that!
5) Did you have to go to the hospital? No, I'm not even in the accident book at work this year I think!
6) Did you have any encounters with the police? Yes, I feed them as well quite often. And they are regular visitors to our block!
7) Where did you go on vacation? Brands Hatch and Isle of Wight
8) Did you buy anything over £1000? Nope
9) Did you know anybody who got married? Couple of people
10) Did you know anybody who passed away? No one close to me.
12) Did you move anywhere? Nope, still here!
14) What concerts/shows did you go to? Autosport Show, Dancing on Ice tour (3), Boyzone (2), Enrique Iglesias, Avenue Q, Never Forget, West End Live, Rocky Horror Picture Show (2), WTCC @ Brands Hatch, BTCC @ Brands Hatch, Dick Whittington, Kyran's Ice Party (Bournemouth), ATP World Tour Finals, Collectormania London... There is possibly more that has slipped my mind!
15) Are you registered to vote? I am indeedy
6) Who did you want to win Big Brother? Didn't watch any of it, couldn't even tell you who did win!
17) Where do you live now? Farnborough
18) Describe your birthday? I worked, and spent most of it crying from what I can remember!
19) What's one thing you thought you'd never do but did in 2009? Have a lesson on ice with professional skaters.
20) What has been your favourite moment? Getting my pictures signed at Brands by the WTCC drivers I support and getting to see up close Roger Federer playing tennis.
21) What's something you learned about yourself? I dunno, that I still pretty much suck?
22) Any new additions to your family? None... unless adopted big cats count!
23.) What was your worst month? March and the Great Flood (the Small Flood of December also gets a mention)
24.) What music will you remember 2009 by? I don't know!

Santa Claus: The Movie
They would always put it on telly on Christmas Eve and I would sit in the lounge at my grandparents with my granddad (who would fall asleep in the armchair) and watch it. Both my Grandparents are gone now, but I still watch it on Christmas Eve.
A Muppet Christmas Carol
I LOVE the book of A Christmas Carol, was one of my favourites I studied at school, add to that The Muppets and a classic is born in my eyes! Watched it last night, twice actually!
Love Actually
It's cheesy and cutey and I just love it! Yet to watch it this year, mayhaps tonight!
The Hogfather
Newest addition to my must watches, the Sky 1 adaptation of Terry Pratchets The Hogfather. Love the books and Death is my fave character by a long way (followed by Luggage for the record, and the Librarian) and it is just a great version. Plus it has the great man himself in it.
I can't think of any that I really don't like off the top of my head, though I am sure there is some. |

Long overdue update! Oops and all that!
11 days since I updated, in which I have muchos cursed working in retail over the Festive times (and that's not even being on the shop floor), hectic and yucky! Trying to have fun though!
The cold weather SUCKS! The store is freezing, and that includes the usually warm places like our kitchen and the bakery, it's warmer in the seating area than it is in my kitchen. I'm now wearing three tops UNDER my chef's jacket thing, for comparison it's usually a big deal if I put a vest top on under my thin short sleeved shirt!! Even the store manager came in and commented that it was cold in there!
Christmas Cards - y'all may have noticed I haven't replied to any of your card posts, or posted one of my own. Have decided not to do cards this year, will instead be making a donation to Help for Heroes of the money I would likely have spent on buying the cards and posting them. Love you all, and wish you all a VERY Merry Christmas *hugs*.
I can't believe we've had the whole season of Merlin now. NOT FAIR! I've just fallen hard for the show and it finishes for the year! Well I say *just* I pretty much fell for it as I started watching it! Love my show!
Also started an epic re-watch (in transmission order, not DVD order) of Space Precinct, because I kind of miss my cooky crappy show! I can't believe it was 95-96 sort of time it was on, still remember it so well (okay, so re-runs and many DVD watches since then), and remember watching it (if that makes sense!). |
